Kira H. Mahoney was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Asa young adult, she ventured across Canada to settle in Toronto, where she has worked as an orthopaedic technologist at the Hospital for Sick Children for over fifteen years. She is a graduate of the Creative Writing program at the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto. Kira and her husband are avid wine and scotch enthusiasts. Weekday mornings she can be found in the hospital cafeteria writing before work, and boxing in the gym after her shift.
